Community Leader Honoree
Laura Ashley Gomez
Laura Ashley Gomez is a proud first-generation Salvadorian Latina, born and raised in the heart of South Central Los Angeles. Her aspirations brought her to the San Fernando Valley to earn her BA in Social Welfare & Social Justice from CSUN, which drove her passion for advocacy and community involvement. With a Master’s in Social Work, Ashley now works full-time as a therapist at a mental health organization, where she aims to uplift and grow with the Latinx population and queer community. Previously facilitating the Somos WOC monthly group, Ashley continues to root herself in
the SFV, both personally and professionally, and has sincere gratitude to a community that has seen her
flourish in the different chapters of her life.
Community Partner Honoree

Founded in 2019 by a formerly incarcerated advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights,The Social Impact Center is the first LGBTQ+ and drug war survivor community reentry hub in America. Rooted in fostering lived experience leadership, it prioritizes inclusivity and justice for marginalized communities.


Public Servant Honoree
Los Angeles Supervisor Lindsey Horvath
Before being elected to the Board, she was a City Councilmember and the longest consecutively serving Mayor for the City of West Hollywood. Upon taking office, Supervisor Horvath authored LA County’s homelessness emergency declaration, bringing added urgency and transparency to the region’s homelessness response. Supervisor Horvath also appointed herself to the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) Commission to focus accountability and transparency on the use of resources to address the emergency. Recognizing that homelessness is the crisis of the moment, and that climate change is the crisis of our time, Supervisor Horvath is also dedicated to environmental action. She authored motions to create a Coastal Resiliency Plan for Los Angeles County and is leading implementation of the County’s first-ever Water Plan. She has served on the Clean Power Alliance since its inception, and now serves as Vice Chair, as it has grown to become the largest clean power authority in the country.
